The Drake Community Library staff includes these basic positions:

Library Page
  • 5-15 hrs/wk position.
  • Pages shelve materials, process new materials, provide basic customer service duties, and assist in other support tasks.

Circulation Clerk
  •  10-15 hrs/wk position.
  • Circulation Clerks are responsible for customer service activities issued from the Service Desk and assist in other support tasks.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Library Assistant
  • Library Assistants help library patrons with library services and facilities and perform many support activities involved in the operation of the library.
  • An associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Professional Staff
  • Full-time staff who hold an advanced degree in library and information science.
