A gripping historical fiction novel set in 1789 Maine. Follow a courageous midwife as she navigates the harsh winter landscape and uncovers dark secrets within her community. This enthralling tale of justice, resilience, and the fight against societal constraints will captivate readers who enjoy strong female protagonists and richly detailed historical settings. Perfect for those who love a blend of mystery and history.
