Prairie Song (2018) is a two-part sculpture by artist Michele Gutlove, crafted from handmade glass and light. Trained as an architect, Gutlove is known for exploring the interplay between glass and illumination. She often employs "thin film interference," an optical phenomenon in which two light waves reflect from a surface and combine, creating shimmering colors that change with the viewer's perspective.
